Biographie.

Tito Valery is a Cameroonian-born multidisciplinary artist, poet, photographer, and curator renowned for his dynamic contributions to contemporary African art. Born in Cameroon, Valery emerged as a vital voice in poetry, weaving themes of identity, heritage, and social justice into his evocative verses. His photography, and texts have been celebrated in exhibitions worldwide, (documenta 14, Newyork Performa, Sonsbeek, Arnhem, Tate modern London to name a few. His work captures the resilience, beauty, and complexity of African life, offering a poignant visual narrative of the continent’s stories. .

As an art curator, Valery champions emerging and established African artists, fostering cross-cultural dialogue through innovative exhibitions. (100 anniversary of Ahmadou Ahidjo). He serves as Artistic Director of the **Ubuntu INKART Festival* , a platform uniting the African diaspora through art, music, and performance, rooted in the philosophy of communal humanity (*ubuntu*).

Globally recognized for his visionary leadership, Valery’s work bridges tradition and modernity, amplifying marginalized voices and redefining African artistic expression. Based in Yaoundé, he continues to inspire global audiences while nurturing grassroots creativity in Cameroon.
